VERONICA ZHANG
Founder & CEO
Veronica Zhang is a current senior at Hatboro-Horsham High School in Horsham, PA. After seeing the success of student-led seminars, she assembled a group of talented high school and college students in order to provide affordable tutoring to PreK-12 students. She strongly believes that peers can be the best teachers. Veronica has also seen the financial burdens of promoting high school engagement in scientific research, so she has decided to put the company’s proceeds to good use and donate 100% of it to the University of Scranton to provide high school students with the opportunity to pursue scientific research at the university. A total of $6000 has been raised so far! Zhang primarily tutors English as a Second Language (ESL), ACT, SAT, and AP Biology. However, her main role at the company involves handling administrative duties and overseeing all tutors and student progress. She works to provide quality education to all students and enjoys doing check-ins with students and tutors. Veronica intends to major in neuroscience in college.
JOSH PALACKAL
ESL, English, History, Spanish, Social Sciences, and APÂ Tutor
Josh is a current freshman at Temple University majoring in psychology. He teaches ESL at Simply Smart Tutoring. However, he is prepared to teach AP-level English Language and Psychology, as well as honors-level US History and Spanish. He is also skilled in essay editing and has experience advising students on their college admissions essays and school assignments. In his free time, Josh loves to sing. In fact, he was part of three choirs in high school and was set to perform with his select choir at the PMEA All-State festival! He is also an avid fan of musical theatre, baking, and reading about politics. He aspires to one day be a civil rights lawyer.

A current first year at Wellesley College, Isabella is ecstatic to be a member of the Simply Smart team. Isabella is a prospective history major, and has tutored in AP World History, AP US History, and the SAT. However, she is available to tutor in any History, English, Mathematics, or Spanish course up to the AP level. In her free time, Isabella is an avid bookworm (she will happily chat about books any day!) and choir singer. Isabella loves to teach and see her students succeed, so working with Simply Smart is very fulfilling.

A current junior at University High School in Tucson, Arizona, Kristin currently teaches Lower School (PreK-Grade 8) Math at Simply Smart Tutoring. She is also available to teach ESL, Geometry, Algebra, AP/Honors level Chemistry, and AP/Honors Economics. In her free time, she loves to watch k-dramas (she's watched a LOT and enjoys talking about them) and read about cognitive science. She is very excited to be a part of Simply Smart and is looking forward to helping more students reach their goals.

A current sophomore at Washington University in St. Louis majoring in economics and Spanish, Evan currently teaches ACT and ESL at Simply Smart Tutoring and is also available to teach economics, English and Spanish. He has experience tutoring in multiple levels of high school Spanish. In his free time, Evan enjoys reading, watching baseball and playing piano. He teaches piano through a school organization and likes seeing students progress.

WILLIAM HUANG

Will is a current senior at Central Bucks High School South in Warrington, Pennsylvania. He is currently involved in SAT Prep tutoring with Simply Smart Tutoring but is also available to teach Algebra, Geometry/Trigonometry, Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Programming (Java and Python), and Macroeconomics from the elementary to high school levels. As an aviation enthusiast, Will loves anything aerospace from research and development to building model rockets and airplanes. He also enjoys writing about STEM topics and is a writer and editor for The Scientific Teen International Youth STEM Magazine. Will is excited to be a part of the Simply Smart team and is dedicated to helping students meet their academic goals.

A current senior at Thomas Sprigg Wootton High School in Rockville, Maryland, Milan currently teaches AP/Honors level Chemistry at Simply Smart Tutoring. He is also available to teach AP/Honors/Standard levels of English, Math, and History. In his free time, Milan enjoys playing tennis, watching football, and solving Rubik's cubes. Milan has enjoyed tutoring children for the past couple of years, and he looks forward to being a part of the Simply Smart team, helping students achieve academic excellence.
